Change to the MAHLE Management Board

Stuttgart/Germany, June 8, 2016 – The MAHLE Group’s Supervisory Board has appointed Mr. Bernd Eckl (48) to the Management Board of the MAHLE Group, with effect from January 1, 2017. During the first few months, he will familiarize himself before succeeding Dr. Rudolf Paulik (62) on April 1, 2017, following Dr. Paulik’s retirement on March 31, 2017. Mr. Bernd Eckl will be taking over his predecessor’s responsibility for the Engine Systems and Components business unit and for group-wide quality assurance.

Since the year 2000, Mr. Bernd Eckl has been working in Untergruppenbach/Germany for the transmission manufacturer GETRAG, a member of the Canadian Magna Group. He began his career at GETRAG as Head of Purchasing. In 2004, Mr. Eckl—a graduate engineer—was appointed to the Management Board and, in 2009, he took over as Chief Operating Officer at the GETRAG parent company. Since 2012, he has been responsible for global sales, business development, and corporate communications.

Dr. Paulik has worked for MAHLE in various leading roles since 1993 and joined the Management Board in 2008, where—in addition to quality assurance—he has been responsible in particular for the Engine Systems and Components business unit. This business segment has been one of the MAHLE Group’s core competences since the company was founded.
